Course Description

Industrial Nondestructive Testing - INDT 1101(Jacksonville Location)

The Industrial Nondestructive Testing (INDT) Program provides students with the knowledge and essential skills to identify strengths and weaknesses in materials used in fabrication. The INDT Program will provide classroom instruction and hands-on training with a variety of equipment and materials.

Knowledge and Training in Key Areas:

  • Operation and calibration of inspection equipment
  • Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors and Thickness Testing
  • Magnetic yokes and coils
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing
  • Radiographic Testing and Safety
  • Eddy Current Testing
  • Visual Testing and Reporting
  • Inspection codes and specifications
  • Rigging
  • Confined Space Operations and Safety

Length of Course

The Program of Study at CDA Technical Institute requires a minimum of thirty (30) weeks. The maximum number of weeks a student may participate in training is forty-five (45).

Students will receive the academic credentials necessary to obtain certification up to Levels I & II as outlined in American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) SNT-TC-1A and will be trained in accordance to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
